A handsome orange buckram-bound volume in very good condition, tight, intact, no abuse. Stephens was a much-loved author who used to spin yarns in "Boys' Life," and has, remarkably, remained very inspiring and very readable. This is a good one to begin you on the trail, if up to now, you are unfamiliar with Stephens. Read this one and you'll want to continue -- and we have about ten other titles as well. A great gift. This Stephens' tome is sub-titled, "Or the Cruise of the Schooner-Yacht 'Curlew'", as recorded by 'Wash.' As with all his writing, Stephens is herein charming, respectful, exciting and very decent. Any young boy -- or old men -- can read his works with no fear of contamination. Wholesome stuff, this. And this volume is inscribed on the front endpaper -- in what strikes us as 'respectfully' written in huge 7-year-old writing, "Frederick J., 116 Pleasant Street, Fairhaven, Mass." You will enjoy this book which, while presentable, has seen better days. Though tight and intact, and would make a great gift.
