This is a remarkable little booklet in VG condition, with its DJ now protected with Mylar covering. This reviewer has visited (several times) the small church which houses this incredible 'Marianaltar' in Creglingen, Germany. Nothing, of course, could do justice to the enormous carving itself, but this book comes close, and gives a detailed 'pictorial visit.' Riemenschneider at his best. German text of 15 pages, followed by 48 B&W photographs.
