5 Grant Wood, the Regionalist Vision Corn, Wanda M.
NHaven Yale 1983 0300031033 / 9780300031034 Cloth Hardcover Very Good PLUS Very Good Quatro
This book is in remarkably good shape and is considered near Mint, but we will say VG-PLUS, and the DJ is likewise; price-clipped and slightly sunned on spine. A wonderful look at this Midwestern artist who painted the most popular portrait in American art, "American Gothic." The book presents a thorough look at the various 'take offs' on that painting, most of which are hilarious. You will love this book.

6 Grant Wood: A Study in American Art and Culture Dennis, James M.
NY Viking Press 1975 0670347841 / 9780670347841 Cloth Hardcover Very Good Good Quatro
As any collector knows, good books on Grant Wood are relatively scarce. Our copy is in VG condition. It has some slight stains on top edges -- ages-old coffee perhaps, and its DG has been price-clipped and laminated by a former owner. But rather than a negative, it has locked the DJ in time. We consider this to be a good buy, and we recommend it highly.

7 Painting in the Grand Manner: The Art of Peter Frederick Rothermel (1812-1895) Thistlethwaite, Mark
Chadds Ford, PA Brandywine River Museum 1995 Paperback Very Good No Dj as Issued Quatro
This handsome softcover is in VG condition and contains a variety of beautiful paintings by Rothermel, outstanding of which is the front portrait of "Patrick Henry in the House of Burgesses of Virginia, Delivering His Celebrated Speech against the Stamp Act, 1851." This reviewer was fortunate to see this painting at the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation in the little village of Brookneal, Virginia. It makes this book all that more special. To better identify this book on the shelf, someone has taped the name "Rothermel" on the spine.

This is a sparkling Book in brand-NEW condition: MINT / PRISTINE . . . SIGNED BY BOTH AUTHORS. DJ is in MINT condition, and is now protected with Mylar covering. This reviewer has visited the fabulous Gilcrease Museum inTulsa, and if any book could be worthy of representing that museum, it would certainly be this one. Highly recommended. Frankly, we doubt there is a finer copy left anywhere.
