One of the foremost architects in the country, Bellusschi has done a number of prestige buildings -- the Julliard School and the Pan Am building in New York for starters -- but to this reviewer, he is most favorably known for his religious architecturel, and this book generously explores that side of his professional work. principally St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco, and the Portsmouth Abbey Church in Rhode Island plus many, many more. If you are not familiar with Belluschi's work, this book is a great introduction, and if you are familiar, this book will enhance your appreciation. Great gift.
