This gargantuan volume was a gigantic undertaking and a truly gigantic accomplishment. We have probably 50 books shelved here on Michelangelo -- many perhaps more elegant in production, but none so thoroughly complete. It is highly recommended, and the price is right for a beast that is clothbound with 600 pages, 1040 illustrations and 32 plates in full color. And it tips the scales at almost 12 POUNDS.
